WE GREW UP TOO FAST.

Go back in time. Maybe 10 years or 20 for some.
When we were all just kids playing around in baggy clothes dreamt of growing up.
When we had lollipop and not cigerrates. When a party meant playing hopscotch and bouncy house and not getting drunk and forgetting whatever you did.
When drinks meant soda and not vodka or whiskey. When you could wear a skirt without being cat called or race issue meant who could run the fastest.
The greatest dilemma was to figure out a colour that matches the pants of the painting you made and not the university you would get into.
When you did not have to worry about the people who were using you. When you broke your crayon into two to share it with your friend because that was the highest level of love you could give.
When the only thing that hurt you was grazed knees and everything didn’t have a double meaning to it.
When we are were kids. the only thing to be worried was learning how to say ABCD and adding 1+1. When math still had numbers and not letters and “x” was just a letter.
When we didn’t have to worry about if the person will reply back or not. When we didn’t starve ourselves to get a perfect figure. When we loved our selves even when we had a little window between our teeth. When the rate of our prettiness wasn’t measured with the number of boys that liked us. When “Katti” meant you were angry and making up to it was easy as walking up and extending to fingers to say “mitthi”. When problems didn’t become memes on you and there was nothing as a a fake smile.
What were we thinking when we wished to grow up?
I guess I am just a kid that grew up too fast. Are you one too?
