I stormed out of the punishment line angry. Frustrated. Scared. “Why can’t they just take it as a joke?” My friend could see that I was not just annoyed but also terrified. water puddled around my eyes just before my friend said “Chill bro. It is a part of life”

A part of life.

Some trivial matter or maybe even serious matter got out of hand when a teacher passed by and saw you fooling around and ended up scolding you. Something you planned to do just for fun for the sake of few giggles. Because come on, what’s the difference between students and prisoners if we students are not laughing around?

(okay now don’t get me wrong and just take school for granted and keep fooling around. That is PART of life, not the life itself)

You probably got caught copying in a paper or carrying a phone in school or playing a silly prank.

stop. breathe. think. 10 years down the lane, these are probably the stories you will laugh and tell your kids about-reminiscing the school days. School life needs to have a balance between being a good student and being able to enjoy the time.

School life doesnt revolve around getting A stars or applauses everyday. It consists of moronic mistakes from which you learn so that you know what not to do again. School life consists of your first crush and how you talked to her/him not the first A* you got. It consists of laughter and joy, happiness and fun, your first love and your first heart break..maybe. and of course, the first big mistake you made.

Your parents either got annoyed with you or threw a party for you making your mistake. You either bawled or laughed around after that. But what is more important is, you learn.

We are all specs of dust in the galaxy. Lost. Confused.

Newton realised there was gravity only when an apple hit him. This mistake, let it be your apple. Let it help you discover yourself.
